This is an incredibly pleasant album. It did not change my life but it is pleasant.
Today was a pleasant day. Nothing too wild happened but it was pleasant. I got a haircut, took a nap and sat with Karina and played with her dog. We watched Love On The Spectrum and I called my cousin, Bert and he made me laugh.
It was a pleasant day.
I am accustomed to living in extremes: the day has to be 1000% productivity OR 5000% sleeping in bed and resting.
It is a real effort to find balance and allow my day to be simple.
Things to remember: I don’t need to sleep the whole weekend to feel rested and I don’t need to work all weekend to feel safe.
There is room for albums like this. It is not something that I am going to obsess over and think about all the time. It is also not something that I am angry or annoyed about. It is nice and I enjoyed listening to it today.
Top songs: When I Get To The Border, The Calvary Cross, I Want To See The Bright Lights Tonight, Down Where The Drunkards Roll, Withered and Died (So I guess the entire first half really got me.)
